The DMR-XS350 is compatible with a variety of Panasonic’s VIERA functions, including the VIERA link which allows you to synchronise your DVD recorder and TV to ensure the best picture quality as well as to facilitate control of both with a single remote. If you plug the DMR-XS350 into your home broadband connection using the Ethernet port then you can access additional online services, including streaming YouTube videos straight to your television.
The DMR-XS350 has an HDMI output for full HD resolutions and it will upscale your old DVDs so that they appear sharper and more colourful. You can also record TV shows directly to DVD, although since there is no Blu-Ray support you will not be able to burn HD content to DVDs, which is one of the few omissions in this otherwise exceptional recorder.
