A Marvel-ous New Release
We're very pleased to announce that we have finalized a deal with Marvel Animation to distribute their latest coup, The Super Hero Squad Show, on DVD. The new series debuted in October on Cartoon Network and was an immediate hit. The series features classic Marvel characters like Captain America, Silver Surfer, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine and Iron Man joining forces with a comedic twist. Look for the first release later this year!
Miles And Miles Of A Shallow Desert
Ex-Beulah front man Miles Kurosky’s debut solo album, The Desert Of Shallow Effects, will be out on March 9. He’s touring in support of the release, so be sure to catch him on the road. We have a great ticket purchasing tip for you: If you order your tickets through ticketweb.com, you’ll get a free MP3 from Miles, plus opening act Pancho-san (ex-Rogue Wave). In The Not Too Distant Future...
There’s a new installment of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the horizon. The Satellite of Love crew touches down on March 16 for Volume XVII, which includes four DVD newbies: The Crawling Eye, The Beatniks, The Final Sacrifice and Blood Waters Of Dr. Z. The 4-DVD set also includes limited-edition mini-posters for each title, The Crawling Eye special introduction by Joel Hodgson, a brand-new interview with The Final Sacrifice’s Bruce J. Mitchell, The Main Event: Crow Vs. Crow at DragonCon ’09 and yes, even more.
And still more exciting news… We just located a lost box of limited-edition 20th Anniversary Edition tins, featuring the Crow T. Robot figurine (oh, and four DVDs). Check back at our store and we'll have them up for sale shortly – first come, first served.
